We recognise the need to recruit high calibre graduates from an engineering background to ensure Western Power Distribution continues to provide excellent customer service and network performance to our customers. Our training programme lasts around 18 months, during which time you will spend a number of weeks within our engineering teams seeing and understanding how the functions of the business are met on a day to day basis. This will cover the maintenance, repair, design and construction of our network, at all voltages from 230V through to 132kV. You will also attend a number of formal courses.

What We’re Looking For

Education:

• minimum of 2nd Class Honours Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline

Skills:

• good clear communication, both written and verbal
• good numerical ability and problem solving skills
• the ability to acquire and develop technical knowledge
